There is something extra special about springtime on the homestead, soft sunshine, fresh blooms, and the tiniest, fluffiest ducklings you’ve ever seen. These duckling spring mini sessions are truly one of the most magical and short-lived experiences I offer each year.

And this sweet little girl? She was completely, head-over-heels obsessed with the duckies, and honestly, I don’t blame her one bit.

A Little Girl & Her Ducklings

From the moment she walked up, her eyes lit up with pure excitement. She giggled as the ducklings waddled toward her, carefully scooping them up like they were the most precious treasure in the world.

There was no need to prompt her or guide every movement, she was fully in her element. Hugging them close, whispering to them, and laughing every time one would wiggle free. It was the kind of joy you just can’t stage.

Those are the moments I live for.

Toddlers don’t scare me, big personalities are welcome, and I fully embrace the chaos that sometimes comes with little ones. I keep things light, fun, and full of movement so your child never feels forced or uncomfortable.

Most of the time, they’re having so much fun they forget I’m even there with a camera.
